Who publishes Fondfolk

Fondfolk is an independent food publication published by Christian Comer. Our focus is the home kitchen: choosing ingredients, understanding a method and getting a meal onto the table without making the planning more complicated than the cooking.

Individual recipes and kitchen articles are free to read. The three-dinner starter plan is also available without an email signup. Cookbooks and Dinner Club are separate paid offerings.

Our editorial approach

Articles are published under the Fondfolk byline. Clara is the named editorial voice used in Fondfolk’s writing and emails, not a separate chef or a claim of professional credentials. Responsibility for the publication stays with Fondfolk.

We use AI-assisted drafting and editing. Our aim is useful, specific writing: clear quantities, the preparation a method assumes, explanations of unfamiliar steps, and examples that help a reader make a decision. AI assistance is not a substitute for reliable sources or evidence of a result.

For food storage, preservation and safety information, we link to sources such as government food-safety guidance and university extension services. A worked example is identified as an example. An adaptation should retain its source credit and explain important changes. We do not treat an attractive food image as evidence of how a recipe was prepared.

Sources, revisions and responsibility

Our editorial policy explains recipe detail, source credit, AI assistance and the information we need for a correction. Christian Comer is the publisher responsible for Fondfolk; we do not present the Clara voice as a separate credentialed expert.

For a practical starting point, Kitchen tools brings together the free serving calculator, planning guide and ingredient notes.

Images and recommendations

Some images are AI-generated editorial illustrations; they are not photographs documenting a cooking session. Where an image has a credited photographic source, its credit and licence information appear with it.

Some articles contain affiliate recommendations. Paid links are identified, and the affiliate disclosure explains how they work. You do not need to buy the recommended equipment to read or use Fondfolk’s free content.

Help us make a page clearer

Send a correction or question to contact@fondfolk.org. Include the page link, the ingredient or step involved, and what was unclear. For a recipe, details such as the amount used, pan size and substitution help explain the issue.

Personal stories, names and submitted recipes are not invitations to publish without permission. We confirm permission and credit before sharing a reader’s contribution. You can also use the contact page for a general question.
