Your email stays yours.

When you join

The signup form sends your email address directly to MailerLite, our email provider. You must agree to receive Fondfolk emails. The form no longer asks for a dinner preference. Preferences collected from earlier signups may remain on record. MailerLite records subscription information and may keep technical information used to process your request.

What happens next

Join for a welcome note from Clara, recipes, kitchen notes and ideas for your table, plus occasional Fondfolk product news. Unsubscribe anytime.

MailerLite processes subscriptions, email delivery and unsubscribe requests. Its reports may include email opens and link clicks. If you reply to a question or take part in a future email survey, we use your response to plan Fondfolk content. We will ask permission before publishing your name, story or recipe. We do not sell your email address.

The signup form

The form loads MailerLite’s signup script and communicates with its servers to process requests and measure form use. Our hosting and email providers may keep operational logs and use technical checks to prevent spam. If the form cannot load, you can still use the recipes and free plan without joining.

Earlier signup requests

Our earlier form stored email addresses, signup times, consent wording and any campaign labels in a website database. Those retained requests are held for review and are not automatically added to the current email list. Contact us to ask about an earlier request or have its local record deleted.

Your choice

Unsubscribe using the link in a Fondfolk email, or contact contact@fondfolk.org from the address you used to join. You can also ask us to change your dinner preference or delete your information. An email provider may retain an unsubscribe record to prevent further messages.

We retain information while needed to manage the list and honor your choices. The free dinner plan is available without joining.

Your grocery checklist

When your browser permits it, we save your selected dinners and checked groceries in local browser storage so they are there when you return. These choices stay on that browser and are not sent to our email provider. Use Reset list on a menu to clear your choices.

Keeping pages working

We use a temporary marker in this browser tab to prevent repeated refreshes if a page file fails to load. It contains a refresh time, not your email address.

Advertising and privacy settings

Advertising is off. Fondfolk does not load Google’s advertising or Privacy & messaging scripts in this release. If we add advertising later, we will provide the applicable privacy choices before requesting ads.

Our site-verification meta tag and ads.txt record identify the publisher account; they do not themselves request or display advertising.

Use Privacy and cookie settings in the footer to read the current status and find help. These controls are separate from joining or leaving the Fondfolk email list.

The cookie and browser-storage page explains saved checklists, the recovery marker, third-party forms and browser controls in more detail.

Retailer links

Articles may include paid links to Amazon. We identify them beside the recommendation. Following a retailer link takes you to its website, where its privacy policy applies. The retailer may use the link’s tracking information and its own cookies to attribute a qualifying purchase. We do not receive your payment details from that purchase.
