Keep the sparkling half separate until pouring

Measure the cherry, pomegranate and lime juices into the pitcher while leaving the ginger ale sealed. The recipe uses equal amounts of the two juices, with the larger ginger-ale amount supplying the final sparkling volume. Check the product labels before substituting a syrup or a ready-mixed juice drink, which would change that balance.

Divide the ice among all four glasses before adding the ginger ale to the pitcher. Stir gently and pour promptly, finishing each glass with its lime slice. If a glass cannot hold its ice and planned pour with headroom, use a larger one rather than forcing liquid to the rim. Prepare another round separately if arrivals are staggered.
