Prepare for the green beans' later start
Cut the potatoes before seasoning the tray. Keeping their pieces close to the stated size helps the centers finish during the chicken's roasting window. Unfold the boneless thighs so they lie flat, then spread both ingredients in a single layer. An open space between pieces is more useful here than a tightly packed mound.
Set aside the beans' share of the oil before tossing the potatoes. The beans join after the first roast, when the potatoes are turned. Fresh beans need trimming; frozen beans enter straight from frozen as directed. Having them ready makes the mid-roast tray change easier to handle.
Check each part of the tray separately
A browned potato surface does not tell you whether the chicken is ready. Keep the thermometer check for the thickest part of the chicken separate from piercing a potato center and checking the beans. Use the method's instruction to move finished components to a clean plate if the others need longer.
Add the lemon after cooking and turn the vegetables through the tray juices before portioning. The stated yield is about two to three servings, rather than two fixed portions. If you change the batch size, check the tray space as well as the ingredient arithmetic.
