Drain excess liquid from the salsa before layering so it does not run into the guacamole decoration. Spread the seasoned beans first, add salsa, then keep the cheddar around the edge of the green center. That open area gives the web and spiders a visible place without requiring a thicker layer of sour cream.
Prepare the olive bodies and leg strips before piping. The four spiders each use eight legs, so divide the strips into four little groups while you can count them. Pipe the circles, draw the web with a clean toothpick, and remove that toothpick before serving. Keep the dip refrigerated until needed and offer a serving utensil with the chips to make portioning easier.
