Make one smooth base before coloring

Soften the cream cheese while keeping the whipping cream cold until its own mixing step. Beat the cream-cheese mixture smooth before folding in the whipped cream. Divide that completed mixture equally into three bowls, rather than trying to color separate mixtures whose textures or sweetness could differ. Leave one third plain white.

Prepare all six clear cups before piping. Divide each color among the whole set so the last cup receives the same layers as the first. Keep the yellow-orange-white order visible, then refrigerate for the full chilling stage. Add the small candy garnish near service and keep the cups refrigerated until needed; the absence of baking does not make a dairy dessert a room-temperature display.
