Method

Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir gently until just melted. Remove from the heat and stir in the orange food coloring.
Fold in the crisp rice cereal until evenly coated. Let stand for about 5 minutes, until cool enough to handle but still pliable.
With lightly damp hands, divide into 8 portions and gently form round pumpkins on a parchment-lined tray. Press a short pretzel stick into each top for a stem.
Leave at room temperature for about 20 minutes until set. Do not compress the cereal too tightly. Store airtight and eat within 2 days for the best texture.
